ISO

ISO Flash

ISO 50

ISO 400

ISO 5000

ISO is the tool on ones camera that allows a photographer to capture more light while avoiding using flash. on top, flash was used to show the subject in the dark but completely dimmed and dulled out the christmas lights behind her while the ISO used the light from the christmas lights to enhance the light shown in the picture without flash. from picture 2 to picture 4 the ISO was turned up from 50 to 5000 and the difference in lighting is hugely different even though all three pictures were taken in a dark room with only the christmas lights as a light. using ISO is much better than flash due to iso will capture colors and lights as opposed to flash. however using a fast ISO can cause some graininess in some pictures
